區塊鏈技術讓一連串的紀錄加密且不易被竄改，讓它非常適合應用在電子交易等等的金融領域，而最有名的加密商品就是比特幣這類加密貨幣。
近幾年開始流行的區塊鏈另一項應用NFT (唸作nifty) 讓數位創作也擁有了如同限量商品證明書一般的數位認證，甚至吸引了特斯拉執行長Elon Musk的注意。
